What defines us as a person. Such a powerful thought Isaac and it has me writing notes for a future blog post. Each step we take affords us the opportunity to learn and we can either move forwards or backwards but that movement is up to us.

Hi Kathy,
Owning your own stuff is so important isn’t it. Thanks for highlighting that point. When you make your point I am reminded of Don Miguel Ruiz’s “The Four Agreements” and the agreement of “Don’t take it personally”. It’s OK if “Fred from accounting” doesn’t feel like forgiving as long as you forgive yourself. Thanks for adding to the story.

Imagine if everyone owned their own stuff! You have given a really simple yet powerful way to do that: acknowledge, assess, align. Simple, but not easy to do. Takes the will of a warrior sometimes, especially when Fred from accounting isn’t resolved and holds a grudge. However, even that is an opportunity to allow Fred to be who he is while you are focusing on becoming the best you can be. Onward!
